Onofre Frias
Onofre Frías was born in Miranda State, Venezuela, in 1953. Graduated in Art, in the best schools in the country, 30 years continuous in creative work and teaching. He dominates the technique of painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic arts, performance and installations. Awards: Malta Biennial (Malta); Gold Medal at the First Biennial of Painting in the Caribbean and Central America, Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic, First Prize in Painting and Drawing in National Salons More than 100 individual national exhibitions and more than 200 collectives. 1998, He made a solo exhibition at one of the most important museums in Latin America, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Sofia Imber (MACSI).
Onofre has exhibited in countries of Latin America, Europe, Korea, Canada and the United States. His work is part of the collections of the OAS Latin American Museum of Art in Washington / MOLAA Los Angeles Latin American Art Museum / Museum of Modern Art, Bogota, Colombia / Le Frac for France, Martinique / Contemporary Art Museum Sofía Imber , Caracas / Museums, Universities, Banks, and private collections both in Venezuela and abroad.
