Luis Vásquez Elorza

Colombian artist born in Itagüí, lives in Medellín. He received his university degree as a visual artist, in 2005 at the University of Antioquia and began to exhibit his visual production since 2000. The issues surrounding his artworks revolve around human behavior as an individual and social part, which day to day find a way to live Being does not care with or without creating awareness but transforming the environment and make their own "reality" beyond nature.
Luis Vásquez has received different recognitions as Unidee in residence, Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto, led by the important artist of Povera Michelangelo Pistoletto in Biella, Italy, and has been awarded some of the local cultural programs. He has participated in almost 24 collective exhibitions and ten individual shows through which he explores different techniques and materials to give shape to the concepts he wants to decipher in his plastic language.
